Textured Letterpress Business Card

Letterpress and sunshine! Spring in Portland is no joke — vibrant like just about no other place I’ve been. And there’s nothing better than natural light to bring out the texture of our work.

Above we’ve got black and tinted white letterpress on pillowy 2-ply Lettra paper for SF design firm BAMO. More carefully curated springtime/letterpress pairings below.

Happy Halloween! (+ $100 Coupon)

Boo! This year's Parklife Halloween card features black ink plus two shades of foil on a duplexed sheet: French Paper Speckletone Kraft for the front and Kraft-Tone Ledger Green for the back.

Oh yeah, there's a discount too. Just mention this post between now and the end of November to get $100 off an order of holiday cards, business cards, letterhead, or stationery.

Hard to compete with last year's card — but I'd say we came pretty close.

Golden Black Squares for MA Allen Interiors

Another awesome duplexed card. This one's for interior design firm, MA Allen Interiors. We actually printed wedding invitations for the firm's founder back in 2010, and she came back to us for business cards after opening her Raleigh firm.

On the front we've got gold foil on 30pt black museum board — and on the back, the same gold foil on our pearl white 300g (21pt) house cotton paper.

Bright and Blingy for Dyfari Interiors

Over the past eight years, we've worked with Diane on baby shower invitations, thank you notes, and several rounds of business cards (see some here and here) for her business, Dyfari Interiors.

This round was by far the most ambitious. For the front we printed fluorescent pink letterpress ink and gold satin foil on 30pt white museum board. For the back we used the same satin foil on Astrobrights Fuchsia. Then we duplexed, trimmed, and finished the cards with gold edge paint.

Business Cards for Jory Brigham Design

We first worked with Jory in January when he asked us to print a display sign for his award winning ping pong table. For that project we used gold ink on 4-ply museum board (about 60pt thick).

Love gold ink on black paper. This one's printed on super thick 60pt Rising Museum Board. #letterpress

A few months later, Jory game to us for business cards. We again went with a gold-on-black look, but this time with thinner 2-ply museum board and metallic gold foil. We finished the cards with a rich orange edge paint.
